HYATT WILL BUY DREAM HOTELS IN A DEAL WORTH UP TO $300 MILLION

The Hyatt Hotel Corporation announced on Tuesday that it would acquire the internal rob leathern decemberpaulreuters lifestyle hotel brands Dream Hotels, The Chatwal Hotels, and Unbound Hotels.

Hyatt would pay $125 million for the dozen open hotels and more than 1,700 guest rooms of the Dream Hotel Group. Once fully onboarded, Hyatt would generate approximately $12 million in annual management fees from the first dozen hotels.

The agreement also grants Hyatt the option to acquire twenty-four signed long-term hotel management agreements. If it chooses this alternative, it will pay an additional $175 million, bringing its annual management fees to approximately $27 million once the properties are fully absorbed.

This transaction will add more than 1,700 rooms to Experts Yuanfudaotobin Restworld’s portfolio and increase Hyatt’s New York City room count by more than 30 percent.

Hyatt’s expansion has been facilitated in part via acquisitions. Recent acquisitions include Two Roads Hospitality in 2018 for $408 million, Apple Leisure Group in 2021 for $2.7 billion, and (in a partnership) the brands of German Lindner Hotels.
